Bio

Born in Yellowknife NT in 1985, Ben Westergreen began his work through street art – a projection of the self & reclaiming physical space. This practice continues as a meditative exploration of the unconscious grounding itself in landscape. Entrenched in a process-based practice, the artist seeks outside itself a manifestation of the ego, self-identity and role. An artifact of a rhythmic dance through stream-of-consciousness play. The techno-queered landscape undulates through destruction, self-humiliation and acceptance.
